Terms of Service

1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Anthony Valsamis, an individual who operates the FivePhysics website at https://fivephysics.com (the "Site") ("FivePhysics," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Who may use FivePhysics
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site or create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who should review these Terms with you. A parent or guardian who allows a student to use the Site agrees to these Terms on the student's behalf and is responsible for the student's use of the Site.
3. Your account
- You may create an account with an email address and password, or with Google sign-in.
- Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person per account. Do not share your account or sell access to it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your saved progress from our systems and cannot be undone.
4. What FivePhysics provides
FivePhysics offers original practice problems, feedback on answers, review of missed problems, and progress tracking for calculus-based physics. These features are free. We plan to offer a paid Premium plan with more features, such as a set builder, timed exams, performance reports, and worked solutions for every problem. Premium is not on sale yet. We may add, change, or remove features.
5. Educational use only; no guarantee of results
FivePhysics is a study aid. We work to make problems and solutions correct, but we do not guarantee that every problem, answer, or solution is free of errors. Using FivePhysics does not guarantee any grade, exam score, or admission result. If you find an error, please tell us at [email protected].
6. Not affiliated with College Board or any school
AP and Advanced Placement are registered trademarks of College Board, which was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, this Site. FivePhysics is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any school or school district. The problems on FivePhysics are original and are not released or secure exam questions.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, or sell the problems, solutions, or other content, or use automated tools to collect it;
- use the content to build a competing product or to train an artificial intelligence model;
- share Premium content or account access with people who have not paid for it;
- try to get around the Premium paywall, security, or access rules, or interfere with the Site;
- use the Site to cheat on a graded assignment or exam where that is not allowed, or to break any law or school rule;
- pretend to be someone else, or create an account for someone else without permission.
Teachers may show free problems in class and refer students to the Site. Teachers may not copy problems into their own materials or distribute them without written permission from us at [email protected].
8. Our content and your license
The Site, including problems, solutions, text, graphics, logo, and software, belongs to Anthony Valsamis or his licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Site for your own study, subject to these Terms. FivePhysics and the FivePhysics logo are our trademarks; please do not use them without permission.
The Site uses open source software and fonts, which are provided under their own licenses. Those notices are listed on the Licenses page.
9. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or error reports, we may use them to improve FivePhysics without paying you or owing you anything.
10. Premium
Premium is not on sale yet. Before it opens, we will publish Subscription and Refund Terms covering prices, renewals, cancellation, and refunds, and they will become part of these Terms.
11. Email from us
We send account emails needed to run your account, such as confirming your account and resetting your password. We send the newsletter only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
12. Ending your use
- You can stop using the Site and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, or to protect the Site or other users.
- We may discontinue FivePhysics. If we do, we will give reasonable notice on the Site.
13. Disclaimers
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SITE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR ERROR-FREE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, FIVEPHYSICS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROGRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $50. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15. Disputes
If you have a problem with FivePhysics, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to fix it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. You may also bring an individual claim in small claims court where you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell signed-in users before it takes effect. A change will not apply to a dispute that arose before the change. If you keep using the Site after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, you may stop using the Site and delete your account.
17. Other terms
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your account or these Terms. We may transfer these Terms to a new owner of FivePhysics. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
